Laser Position Stabilisation

The stability of the position of a laser is important to ensure accuracy. So that the laser points to where it is supposed to. A laser’s beam can move in space for various reasons, and the Photonics Technologies our Aligna or Fiberlock can help with this.

The accuracy of the laser and position stability is stated as an angular value. This value of stability measures how much the laser’s position moves from the intended target over time. This value is usually measured using milli- or microradians (mr or μr).
