Laser Frequency Stabilisation Frequency Reference Device (FReD)
FReD is a compact saturated absorption spectroscopy unit that provides an atomic frequency reference for up to two tuneable lasers at the same time.
FReD has two spatially offset beam paths, so an atomic spectroscopy signal can be produced for either a single laser or two lasers simultaneously. The amplification of the signal, on each channel, can be independently adjusted to fine-tune it according to the absorption depth of the transition, the laser power, and the specific needs of the locking electronics.
Key Features:
Compact & Lightweight:
All optics and control electronics are fixed within one robust unit weighing 0.6 kg with a 17 x 8 x 5 cm footprint
Flexible configuration:
Rubidium or Caesium reference
No re-alignment required:
Fiber collimation and optics fixed from delivery
Signal optimisation:
Amplification can be adjusted depending on your requirements
Low voltage DC power supply
24V DC power supply for safe integration into your laboratory
FReD provides a great alternative to many home-built spectroscopy setups that require many moving parts and constant re-alignment. The replacement of your table-top system clears up a large amount of space that was previously taken up by long beam paths and opto-mechanics.
Options
